Carleton Carpenter, 94, Born In 1926 – Lost Boundaries
Carleton Carpenter responded to the call of duty when he offered his services as a Seabee to the U.S. Navy. Upon his discharge from military service, Carpenter started working as a magician. He tried his luck on Broadway before ending up on the big screen when producer Louis de Rochement gave him a part in Lost Boundaries.
He signed a deal with Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer for eight film,s and he stuck to the contract for three years. Carpenter appeared on The Millionaire, a 1959 mini-series once he left his film days behind. Most recently, Carpenter appeared in the 2018 documentary Broadway: Beyond the Golden Age.
