Julie Newmar – Born In 1933
In 1958, Julie Newmar earned widespread attention when she performed in The Marriage-Go-Round on Broadway and later reprised the role of Katrin Sveg in its 1961 film adaptation. She later featured in Batman, the ’60s TV series Irma la Douce and Ziegfeld Follies.
Newmar is also a voice artist, and she’s worked on the 2016 and 2017 animated Batman films. She appeared as a guest in the TV series documentary Ayer Nomás in 2021, and she’s also scheduled to appear in the upcoming documentary Lunch with Archer King. Newmar also dabbles in real estate investing, and she’s credited for having a hand in improving some of Los Angeles’ neighborhoods.
