Betty Lynn, 94, Born In 1926 – The Andy Griffith Show
Betty Lynn’s start in life reflects what it means to overcome adversity. She dealt with a mentally abusive father who barely had a hand in her upbringing. Her fate turned when she auditioned for a spot in the United States Service Organization (USO) entertainment unit at the age of 17.
Lynn crossed over to the airwaves and soon made the transition to Broadway and then the big screen. She’s perhaps best known for The Andy Griffith Show as Thelma Lou. Lynn is long retired from the industry, but she still makes time to mingle with her fans on regular meet-ups around Mount Airy, NC.
