Barbara Eden, 89, Born In 1931 – I Dream of Jeannie
The Johnny Carson Show gave Barbara Eden her first taste of the spotlight in 1956. She solidified her place in Hollywood through I Dream of Jeannie. Additionally, Eden featured in musicals like The Sound of Music and South Pacific. Her work on stage includes Love Letters, and the 2006 play reunited her with her I Dream of Jeannie co-star Larry Hagman.
Eden penned Jeannie Out of the Bottle in 2011, and the memoir chronicles her experiences over more than five decades in Hollywood. She’s currently married to Jon Eicholtz, her third husband. She shared a son with Michael Ansara who sadly died in 2001 from a drug overdose.
