Adele skipped this year’s Grammys, so we didn’t get a chance to see her stun on the red carpet, and she has yet to release another heartbreaking album, so everyone sorely misses her. However, fans are anticipating her comeback even more because of her new look that lucky supporters have seen in person.
She didn’t get a new haircut but the singer has been looking incredibly slimmer these past few months. One of those who witnessed this in the flesh was Lexi Larson, a 19-year-old who, along with her friends, went to Anguilla for a vacation.
She and her pals decided to eat dinner at Blanchards Restaurant and Beach Shack where they immediately noticed former One Direction member Harry Styles. Minutes later, they were shocked to see Adele, who sat beside Lexi and started talking to them.
The multi-Grammy award-winning singer revealed to her supporter that she lost a hundred pounds! The starstruck fan admitted she didn’t recognize Adele because of her figure; as for proof, Lexi and her friends only had selfies with Harry since the Someone Like You hitmaker was there with his son, Angelo.
Sirtfood Diet
By now you may have Googled how Adele is right now and you may be shocked to see the transformation. Well, according to the grapevine, her weight loss is because of the Sirtfood Diet.
Take it with a grain of salt because the English songwriter has not confirmed if this really is her secret but as per the website of the program, it claims that it is indeed the reason for her figure.
This plan is based on natural elements, called polyphenols, found in plant foods, which activate the sirtuins in the body that are responsible for resembling the effect of exercise and fasting. According to Glen Matten and Aidan Goggins, the masterminds behind the Sirtfood diet, sirtuins are also called the skinny genes.
There are two phases: in the first one (for one week), you will have to consume 1,000 calories per day in the first three days, and in the remaining four days, you will have to eat two sirtfood meals and drink two green juices daily. In the second phase (for two weeks), you will have to consume three sirtfood meals and drink one green juice each day.
After these three weeks, the consultants said in order to see more changes, you need to incorporate sirtfood meals into your lifestyle. The program claims that you will lose seven pounds in the first week and it reportedly helps in memory and blood sugar control.
If this is the first time you have heard of sirtfoods, you may not be aware that some of these are already in your pantry: cocoa powder, onions, turmeric, dark chocolate, kale, red wine, garlic, strawberries, and walnuts. Surprisingly, there is nothing you can’t eat when you’re on this diet, Glen and Aidan said.
Downside
Dietician Tanya Freirich said that the hardest part of the plan is limiting calorie intake. Because the first two phases involve a lot of green juice, a person could become heavily reliant on this, she said, adding that it’s not ideal for people who are under Coumadin medication or those with diabetes.
